BABICHacoustics implements acoustical recommendations for hospitals consistent with FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities. These guidelines that have acoustical requirements are now standard for hospitals in many states throughout the country.

Noise affects patients' ability to rest, critical for the healing process. Studies show that planned soundscapes and sound masking systems within hospitals improve patient comfort.

Recommendations are given for healthcare facilities, architects, and engineers to ensure appropriate noise levels in patient-care areas. In addition, exterior noise levels are evaluated to meet community noise ordinances affecting neighboring properties.
