BABICHacoustics has completed a variety of acoustical consulting services for various museums. Full scope of architectural acoustics including environmental noise control, mechanical noise control, sound isolation, and room acoustics are important for these technical spaces. Construction administration services include on-site acoustical testing to determine the effectiveness of walls and floor-ceiling assemblies. Sound transmission class (STC) testing and impact insulation class (IIC) testing is used to evaluate and improve acoustical privacy. Mechanical noise control services are necessary to reduce noise inside of the museum spaces and to the surrounding communities.
